Command line apps from the store: How does that work ...

Posted: (2 days ago) Whether these apps are packaged as an APPX (like WINGET) or as an MSIX package (something you can easily do yourself with Visual Studio to package up your own command-line app), when installed they just seem to magically work. Time, time, time (and location services) – Out of Office Hours

Posted: (18 days ago) I’ve spent a lot of time talking about time, time zones, with multiple blogs (part 1 and part 2) talking about available options. One of the options that I mentioned in the first blog was to let Windows 10 set the time zone automatically. But that’s a little tricky, as there are some dependencies: Location…

Forcing an MDM sync from a Windows 10 client – Out of ...

Posted: (2 days ago) I was reading a blog recently that made me think “there’s got to be a better way” to force an MDM sync from the actual Windows 10 client – the example used the Graph API to connect from the client to the Intune service, then told Intune to initiate the sync, which sends a Windows notification (WNS push) to the client to tell it to wake up and do something.
